We realised that the warlocks teleport gateway could come in very useful (and in fact did) as well as the druids stampeding roar. On the second attempt, the boss was moved nicely, everyone did their bit on the unseen strikes and finally after a windy journey to one end of the room and a teleport gateway to the other we saw the boss fall below that 10% mark and knew that he was going down.Well done everyone. It is with regret, however, that I have been informed that our second tank who has been coming with us to see some of the normal raids is taking a break from wow. Wednesday, 3 April 2013 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org After a few shaky attempts on the boss where folks were dying to the sonic rings of doom, including yours truly. We managed to get through the first 3 phases with nobody dead. Unfortunately yours truly died again!!! Not my night.This was extremely bizarre though as we ended up with him down to 3% with a decent amount of time left before the enrage. The slight bizarre element of this and the snag that could have posed us a problem was that there was only the tank and a healer left.Still, try they would and succeed they did. Zor'lok died and finally the force are progressing their way through the Heart of Fear. Wednesday, 3 April 2013 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org As the last time we were in Mogushan Vaults not many people rolled on the gear we decided to extend last weeks raid so that we just had the last boss to kill.Interestingly enough, we had a practice attempt and after that we had a textbook kill. A guild achievement was earned and another feather in the cap for the Shining Force crew.We read the last will and testament for the emperor and earned ourselves a 6/6 progress in the normal instance.And now we move to Heart of Fear. Wednesday, 27 March 2013 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org We've been trying to master those damn pillars for a number of weeks now and finally we were in a position where we could make a few attempts with two healers only.After a couple of wipes it was clear that tonight could be the night and then due to an unfortunate timing error, yours truly descended down the pit of despair. A quick release and run in and a fresh buff and setup and things started quite smoothly, the right number of adds, the draw powers were blocked up to 4 and then the boss dps'd down. Then in the last phase it was a case of whatever you can do to keep alive to help the healers, do it. So healing rain, tranquility's etc everything from non-healers was thrown in to the mix and before we knew it, the boss was at 5%. A little push further and down he went, suffering his own Extinction Level Event.Shining Force 5/6 in MSV Normal, Well done everyone. Wednesday, 20 March 2013 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org After getting so close on Wednesday night after our first kill of Gara'jal we hoped that this would be the week where we progressed that bit further by having a second guild run for the week.It was looking promising until a couple of last minute drop outs but things were not as bad as all that as one of our unwell members managed to drag himself out of bed to come along to the raid and brought his other half with him to make the numbers up.We were certainly close on Wednesday as with the same tactics and a couple of practises on execution the Spirit Kings fell one by one to the swords and spells of the force.Well done all Friday, 15 February 2013 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org After a couple of attempts on our friend the Spirit Binder we seemed to be getting the hang of the spirit realm handling of the adds and we were getting closer and closer to the magic number where we can pop the heroism and finish him off.On Wednesday, things were going well, we had now unfortunate deaths within the spirit realm for people not getting out in time and we were fast approaching the 20% mark with everyone alive.Finally, we popped the heroism and then burned and burned and burned until a nice new boss kill was awarded to us. We're only managing to get one night a week raiding with the small collection of guild members we have but we're really trying to make that one night count.After we got the stone guard down we had a quick try on Feng and got him down to 14% so we knew he was within our grasp.After a single attempt this week and precision handling of the special abilities by the tanks Feng was finally out cursed by the force. We finally got a group together including a friendly second tank from another guild and set to work on clearing at least one boss in Mogu'shan.The wait was not in vain, after a number of attempts the dogs that guard the entrance crumbled to a pile of stone ready to be brushed away by the power of the force. Wednesday, 23 May 2012 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org We've been clearing the Dragon Soul quite comfortably in a single night for a couple of weeks so we thought, with the 10% debuff, it would be worth giving Heroic Morchok a go and see if he was do-able.After several wipes while we got to grips with the healing, tanking and general 2 x 5 man bosses syndrome. Although we had wipes, the bosses health was going in the right direction each time, down ...I saw the bosses health drop below 10% and thought, If we can just hold it together for a few more seconds and hope the old RNG doesn't throw us a curve ball then this guy is going down.And he did, T13H 1/8 Wednesday, 29 February 2012 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org I was trying to get a few extra justice points to buy a couple of heirloom items for some characters I was levelling and dropped into a couple of old normal dungeons.I ended up in Halls of Origination. Now, I've got Kiril, Fury of Beasts so a big bear was an interesting sight at the best of times, but a big bear on the back of a camel, surely this would the bear that broke the camels back. Friday, 3 February 2012 Lomil http://www.shiningforce.org We had a look at this one earlier in the raid week. It seemed very tricky and required a lot of precision, not something we're accustomed to doing, big DPS numbers, lots of mana and lots of health, that was what mainly worked for us.This boss, was much different. After several wipes and I do mean several while we developed our own tactics for dealing with the Amalgamations and the Corruptions we started making real progress.We were quite shocked (well I was) when the armor plating was blasted off the last section and we were now DPS'ing the tendron to give us 7/8 in Dragon Soul and there we had it.Well done all, T13 7/8 Monday, 30 January 2012 Lomil
